Collaboratively develop and implement strategies, programs and projects to meet city goals and objectives for transportation, development, redevelopment, urban renewal, housing and sustainability.
Facilitate project implementation and delivery. Work effectively with members of the public, external stakeholders, elected officials and staff from other departments. Develop project work plans, budgets and schedules. Provide project oversight and direction for work in progress to ensure objectives are met. Prepare reports and recommendations as requested.
Lead consultant procurement processes and effectively manage multidisciplinary engineering, planning and urban design consultant teams to deliver planning and capital projects.
Advise the Director, Department Heads, Mayor, City Council, and Boards and Commissions on project issues. Analyze intergovernmental agreements, ordinances, and other related documents for policy implementation and provide written reports. Prepare and present reports to City Council, Boards and Commissions.
Represent the city at project-related meetings, events, task forces and committees. Develop and deliver presentations. Lead and facilitate meetings.
Prepare, recommend and monitor budget for assigned projects. Provide explanation for variances. Authorize payments to contractors and consultants.
Plan, develop, coordinate, administer and utilize various software systems.
Facilitate pre-construction meetings and coordinate with city staff, contractors, other jurisdictions and utilities.

This is a full-time, exempt, Management 2 (M2) position. There is one vacancy.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, landscape architecture, urban planning, architecture or a related field; and
8 years of experience including at least 6 years of progressively responsible project management experience involving direction or coordination of consultants and contractors; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the candidate to perform the essential functions of the position.

Wage Range: $7,199.71 - $9,649.15 monthly Starting wage will be determined depending on relevant work experience as outlined in the Equal Pay Act. New hires who meet minimum requirements will start at step one. Higher steps may be offered to those who have additional years of directly related experience to the position.
