ABOUT

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), with more than 17,000 members, is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE comprises more than 500 chapters for its collegiate, professional and pre-collegiate members in the United States and all over the world.

NSBE Pro-PDX is the Portland Professionals Chapter of the national organization, and a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization in Portland, OR.​

Our Chapter follows our mission by connecting diverse professionals in Oregon and providing youth outreach and workforce development (internships, scholarships, STEAM programming, etc.) to empower the pipeline of future Black engineers. 

 

MISSION:

The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers is: To increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

The NSBE Professionals organization is dedicated to positively impacting lives by leveraging a global community that empowers members to grow technically, access influential leadership, advance careers and inspire the next generation of Black technical professionals.
