ABOUT
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), with more than 17,000 members, is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE comprises more than 500 chapters for its collegiate, professional and pre-collegiate members in the United States and all over the world.
NSBE Pro-PDX is the Portland Professionals Chapter of the national organization, and a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization in Portland, OR.
Vision
We envision a world in which engineering is a mainstream word in homes and communities of color, and all Black students can envision themselves as engineers.
Mission
The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers is: To increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
The NSBE Professionals organization is dedicated to positively impacting lives by leveraging a global community that empowers members to grow technically, access influential leadership, advance careers and inspire the next generation of Black technical professionals.
