The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Portland Professionals was excited to offer our second year of internships in 2024, thanks to our wonderful partners in industry:

NSBE Portland is committed to empowering the next generation of Black engineers. By creating pathways into various engineering disciplines through high school (and college) internships, we ensure Black students, particularly high school students, gain early exposure to professional environments. Our internships connect students with mentors, industry leaders, and peers, fostering relationships that can open doors and create lasting professional bonds.

For Industry: Please reach out to nsbepropdx@gmail.com if your company has capacity to host a high school student for an engaging internship! Internships are meant to inspire career pathways, provide paid (by NSBE Portland) workforce development opportunities, and are intended for Black identifying students. NSBE Portland requires students to apply to our programming, pre-screen interview, and we make placements for students / companies to provide the best match.
