About the event
The Portland Professionals Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE PRO-PDX) is planning to host a virtual Walk for Education on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific Time.
We are using this two-hour window to provide students and their families with information about the different STEM disciplines, financial aid (and literacy), collegiate admissions, technical trade school opportunities, and potential mentors in STEM from our sponsoring organizations.
The high-level agenda for this walk is as follows:
10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Introduction to NSBE and the opportunities of STEM
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Start Walking (with the DJ pumping us up)!
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Cool down and learn something!
